There is no doubt this world is a different place than it was years ago. There are many examples of this but one that I thought of recently was parenting. When my generation was growing up, we had “handson” parents. If we got in trouble, there were no time-outs or counting to ten and we certainly didn’t own cell phones or gaming systems to be grounded from. My generation’s brand of punishment was bend over and get ready for leather to strike your rearend.
