A future convenience store set to be opened across from Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in north Jena was denied an alcohol permit from the Jena Town Council after the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office overruled the town’s alcohol permit ordinance and had the Council follow the state’s law regarding measuring for such permits. With the permit denied, it is unknown if John Boone will open the American Choice Pit Stop location.
