Last Roundup
I live close to the local rodeo arena. Close enough to hear the rodeo announcer when he speaks on the loudspeaker. Every time there’s a rodeo, it brings back memories of my younger days. I remember the calf roping, barrel racing, bucking broncos and the bull riding. I recall the sights and sounds of the rodeo scene and the food that was always at the rodeo concession stand. It’s true the rodeo has been around since day one and rural spectators always filled the stands. My oldest sister always had a horse and was actually a barrel racer.
