A fun way for students to learn about running a business
The PRIDE classes of Ms. Harville and Mrs. Price at Jena Junior High School hosted a Hot Chocolate Christmas Market last Thursday for the rest of the 6th graders to celebrate the end of their curriculum unit in ELA.
The event was also held as part of their curriculum as the students learned the elements of running a business. In preparation for the market, the students created a budget, discussed the importance of branding and social media and examined the day in and day out responsibilities of owning and operating a business.
The students really enjoyed the process and could not wait to share their business model and product with the rest of their class members.
Shown on this page are many from the class as they operated their hot chocolate stand during a break from classes last Thursday.
