Thankfulness In Grief: “How Christ saved me from dying with my dad”

There are always going to be hardships in one’s life, but what you decide to do with those instances can make or break you. My life was never built on normal circumstances. From a young age, everyone around me knew I would have to face hardships for the rest of my life. The stages of grief were introduced at a very early age for my sister and me, but only later on did we understand what each stage meant. Each stage of grief introduced a new period of life that caused each of my family members to mature much faster than someone else that is not in my situation. Trials and tribulations can affect people in many ways, as for my family, we are still affected to this day, pushing through each stage of grief, now and for years to come.
