Sandy Carraway, 66, of Olla, passed from this life peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024, at her residence in Olla.

Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in the New Union Cemetery in Tullos under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.

Pallbearers were Dustin Meredith, Bart Meredith, Cody Carraway, Dennis Carraway, Glynn Black, Josh Cockerham, Patrick Francis and Jacob Ayers.

She was born on November 28, 1957 in West Monroe to the union of her parents, Richard Preston Carraway and Gladys Thompson Carraway.

Sandy was a mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was her children’s, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s biggest fan and loved them unconditionally. Sandy was a homebody and a slight worry-wart but had a remarkable talent in writing. She filled up notebooks after notebooks, just writing. Sandy enjoyed sitting outside, sewing and word search puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dewayne Carraway. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Cody Carraway (Krisi); daughter, Keesha Halliburton (Patrick Francis); brother, Dennis Carraway; sister, Brenda Jeffers (Leon); grandchildren, Addison Carraway and Dustin Meredith; and great grandchild, Hadleigh Meredith.
