Karsen Bird, a member of the Good Pine Middle School archery team soon to move on to the Jena Junior High archery team, recently closed in on two years of practicing and honing his archery skills. In fact, just two weeks ago he entered a regional tournament at Tioga Junior High School and proudly placed second - pretty routine behavior for an eleven-year-old boy who loves shooting a bow. However, Karsen isn’t your typical eleven-year-old who casually participated in a mid-summer archery competition. His story is one that shows exactly how dedicated he is to the sport and how important it is to stay on target even during obstacles and challenges.
