In the year 2006, tumultuous times were occurring in LaSalle Parish, specifically Jena and even more specifically, surrounding Jena High School. The school year had just begun when the first of a series of incidents began to set in motion what would become known as “The Jena Six” thrusting Jena onto the international stage.
