Rev. Wesley O. Lynch was appointed pastor of the Nolley Memorial Methodist Church of Jena at the recent annual Louisiana Methodist Conference, making the fifth pastorate he has held since coming to Louisiana from Alabama back in 1935. The new minister of the Jena charge and his wife came to Jena from Jonesboro and Rev. Lynch assumed the Nolley pulpit on June 13. Both he and Mrs. Lynch are natives of Alabama where he received his undergraduate college work at Birmingham- Southern College of Birmingham. He later took his seminary training at Westminster Theological Seminary at Westminster, Md. When the Jena pastor was assigned to the Louisiana conference in 1935, he was appointed pastor of First Methodist Church of Haynesville and from there went to the Longsport Methodist Church. Before going to Jonesboro, Rev. Lynch served a tenure as pastor of the Park of Avenue Methodist Church in Shreveport.
