Five churches in North LaSalle joined together to offer a Community Family Day on Saturday, June 1, at the Potty Tannehill Memorial Park in Urania. Members from the five churches provided free hot dogs, snow cones, outdoor activities, games, chalk art, Bible stories and more while also allowing area children and youth to register for upcoming Vacation Bible Schools. The event is part of a growing faith movement occurring in the area demonstrating how churches are united to offer positive change through Jesus Christ. Participating churches included: Pinehill Baptist Church, Olla First Baptist Church, Standard Baptist Church, Tullos First Baptist Church and Olla Methodist Church.
