Northwestern State University’s Gallaspy College of Education and Human Development hosted a spring Honors Convocation April 17 to recognize the academic accomplishments of students and faculty in the School of Education, Department of Health and Human Performance, Department of Military Science, Department of Psychology and Department of Social Work.
Among those honored were two Jena students, Chandlar Fannin and Coree Nash.
Fannin was among eight students to receive a special award from the School of Education. She received the Excellence in Teaching in Graduate Teacher Education (MAT).
Nash was among seven students to receive a special award from the Department of Social Work. He received the Outstanding Social Work Student Award.
Many other students received awards during the event, which honors the top students in the School of Education. Various awards were given for students in the School of Education, Department of Health and Human Performance, Department of Psychology, Department of Military Science, Department of Social Work and NSU’s Gallaspy College of Education and Human Development distinguished faculty and staff.
