Clifford Elijah Tolbert, 83, of Jonesville, LA, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, LA, with Bros. Joel Ford and Cecil Grantham officiating.
Interment followed in the Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Pallbearers were Nathan Tolbert, Ethan Tolbert, Colton Tolbert, Kenny Davis, John McClure Jr. and Andy Mason.
Honorary pallbearers were Kyle Tingle, Jonathan McLendon, Sam Mason and Wade Brown.
He was born November 21, 1940 to the union of his parents, Riley Tolbert and Violet Brown Tolbert.
He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his boys, Billie McLendon Tolbert and wife, Shirley Mott Tolbert.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Jerome Tolbert (Renea) and Elton Tolbert (Misty); Tolbert grandchildren, Nathan (Heather), Kayla, Ethan (Esther) and Colton; great grandchildren, Marlie and Mason; step children, Bruce D. Mott (Tabitha), Richard Mott (Amy), Troy Mott (Bertie) and Chris Mott (Rose); grandchildren, Greg (Autumn), Courtney Delhoste (Josh), Brent Mott (Loren), Kacey Dimauro (Nick), Richard Mott Jr. (Mary), Michael Mott (Harlan), Kelly Mott (Shelby), Tyler Mott and Katelyn Mott; a host of great grandchildren that loved “Poppa”; siblings, Pauline Davis, Earline Brown, Shirley Walton (Buddy), Bill Tolbert (Sheila), Cleveland Tolbert, Calvin Tolbert, Camelia Parker and Sharon Coates.
