Bring on the bacon – fat!
One of the top seven culinary wonders of the cooking world is undeniably good old bacon fat, and it doesn’t take a sophisticated palette to make it so. Just a drizzle or a spoonful during the cooking process can take a dish from mundane to lip smacking good. I should know, I grew up under the skilled hands of country cooks who knew how to make the most of fat rendered from a strip or two of bacon.
