Present-day Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church sits quietly off Highway 460 in LaSalle Parish. Historically referred to as “The Little Church in the Pines” - which was memorialized by a song of the same title written by former pastor A. L. Clanton - its deep-rooted background and history had its genesis in 1933 with a vision shared by Reverends Jessie King and Mack Davidson.
