In today’s world, it is not unusual to see women serving in various roles and jobs of law enforcement and other public safety occupations. Women are commonly employed as public defenders, deputies, police officers, lawyers, and in various other legal and security positions. Such was not the case before the passing of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act which allows females unrestricted access to such jobs.
