Velma Lea Paul, 61, of Jena, LA, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Jena Nursing and Rehab Center.

Velma was a lifelong nurse who cared for pediatric, traumatic injury patients and traveled the United States to do so. It was her dream to travel and she enjoyed every minute of it.

A graveside service was held in the Nebo Cemetery, Jena, LA with Revs. Danny Cole and Joey Paul officiating, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Paul.

Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Philip Paul; sister, Ellie Stephens (Charlie); nephews, Dexter Mitchell and Travis Paul (Maria); and great niece, Ada Paul.
