James Howard Guillotte, 92, of Georgetown, was accepted into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Friday, December 15, 2023.
He was born September 15, 1931. He was a proud veteran of the United States, serving as a member of the Infantry 1st Calvary Division, 7th regiment machine gunner, during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954. After his service and many years of hard work at Dresser Industries in Pineville, he retired.
In his spare time, he studied the Bible. He used this knowledge to teach Sunday School at Georgetown Baptist Church for many years. He remained active enjoying life until his dying day. He was a storyteller and a videographer.
For years, he took pride in hiding out at Christmas dinner to catch all the festivities on video for his family to treasure the memories. His long, beautiful prayers before every holiday meal will be dearly missed. There was never a time he was not ready and willing to stand and pray.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Georgetown Baptist Church, with Revs. Carl Griffith, Lamar Carpenter and Mark Breland officiating.
