A high-speed chase into the Belah community at the end of June ultimately landed a Jena man behind bars last week. The LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) reported that on Wednesday, June 28, around 8 p.m., a deputy with their department was patrolling on Hatcher Road (beside the Jena Airport) when he stopped to check on a vehicle that was parked on the road.
