Emergency cell phone alarms blasted through the silence of the early morning hours Friday, June 16, warning residents of severe storms and possible tornadoes. As damaging winds and at least one tornado swept across LaSalle Parish during the following 15 minutes, many trees fell across roads and some onto homes and vehicles.
