The Central Louisiana Technical Community College Rod Brady Campus in Jena will see their largest class ever graduate this Friday.
According to Interim Campus Dean Michelle Morea, the 32 graduates make up the largest ever since the campus was established in 1984. This is the 35th graduating class of the campus.
“We are very proud of this class and their completion of a rigorous 22-month program of classroom and hands-on clinical experience,” Morea said. “Students who complete this program are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam to obtain their nursing license.”
Rod Brady has a long and rich history of producing top LPN’s in the state and was recently ranked as the 9th best program in Louisiana by practicalnursing.org.
Students who complete the program at Rod Brady also have a high passing percentage when taking the NCLEX-PN examination and go on to fill valuable positions in the LaSalle Parish health-care industry.
“Our students typically remain in our area and fill local nursing needs,” she added.
The students will graduate with a Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing and once they pass the test will become Licensed Practical Nurses, or LPN’s.
The class held their official pinning ceremony last Friday at First Baptist Church in Jena.
Graduation ceremonies will be held this Friday, May 19, at 1:30 p.m., at the Randolph Riverfront Center in Alexandria.
