Our bus left Knoxville, Tennessee, at daylight. We were bound for several sites in the land of the Navajo tribe in Arizona. I had no idea what to expect when we arrived. I had heard about the tribe and studied a little about them in my high school history classes. We did not have an interpreter so I didn’t have to be concerned about communicating with the children and/or adults.
