A very colorful, but none-the-less, destructive fire wiped out the Old River Café on Hwy. 84 early Sunday morning. A stock of Roman candles and other fireworks on hand added the color. Jena’s Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene in time to keep the fire from spreading to grass, field, and house, but too late to save the café building.
