(EDITOR’S NOTE: The following Country Editor article appeared in the March 7, 2007, issue of this newspaper by the late Publisher/Editor Sammy J. Franklin.) As a father and grandfather, I was impressed by a recent e-mail I received titled simply, “this should be posted in all schools.” Believe me, if every teenager and child would follow the ideals set forth in the email, this would be a lot more realistic society, and a lot less grandparents raising their grandchildren.
