A scam appears as a text message coming from the United States Postal Service (USPS) stating a problem with a delivery address, which when clicked leads to a website that also appears to be the official USPS website and asks to pay a small fee for delivery. The LaSalle Parish Sheriffâs Office wants to get the word out that these messages and links are a SCAM and the USPS does not operate in this manner.

Be aware of scam regarding USPS
Scammers never stop in their unrelenting efforts to target unsuspecting customers. Unfortunately, a new reoccurring scam is when someone receives a text message that appears to be from the United States Postal Service (USPS) stating that there is a problem with their delivery address.
