Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards lifted his state-wide indoor mask mandate last Wednesday following three months of his order to the delight of LaSalle Parish students, parents and educators. The official executive order lifted the mask mandate in all settings across the state except for K-12 schools, however, the order allowed local school districts to opt out of the masking if they continue to follow the existing quarantine guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
