Children from Nolley Memorial United Methodist Church in Jena delivered food donations to The Little Free Food Pantry located in front of the Jena Times Office last week. They began bringing offerings to start a Pantry Fund a couple of years ago to provide food for the hungry of our community. Then they asked adults to help fund their project. They place Bible verse labels on each food item and a label telling the items are provided by the children of Nolley. They have enjoyed several field trips during Sunday School to take their gifts. When they complete placing the items in the cabinet, one of the children leads in prayer over the food and those with whom they are sharing. The children wish to thank all who give offerings to help them show God’s love to others. They encourage everyone to help provide food to keep The Pantry filled.
