Marjorie M. “Sis” Sellers, 96, of Urania, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield.
She was born Tuesday, May 18, 1926.
Marjorie was known around Urania as ‘The Avon Lady’ and also was a radio dispatcher for over 20 years for the Olla Substation.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 18, at Lowe Cemetery near Kelly with Rev. Clay Hutton and Bro. Brian Rankin officiating.
Interment followed under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther B. Sellers Sr; her son, Luther B. ‘Benard’ Sellers, Jr; her daughter, Wanda Bass; her brothers, J.L. Williams, John Williams, and Richard Williams; and a sister, Nellie Webb.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Terry Sellers (Linda) of Urania, James ‘Curtis’ Sellers (Beverly) of Grayson, and Paula McBroom of Urania; sisters, Lucille Boyette of Natchitoches, and Gracie Perritt of West Monroe; ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kalon Sellers, James ‘BoBo’ Banes, Jimmy Arbogast, Glynn Black, Scott Franklin, and Tracy Clark.
