Urania looks to get Local Fiscal Recovery funds

The Urania Town Council’s meeting last week centered on funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the upcoming start of parish-wide garbage pick-up by Waste Connection. Town Engineer Glen Turner was on hand at the meeting to inform the Council that the town is on the list to receive up to $479,000 in funding from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds program of the ARPA.
