While working several years ago with an older electrical engineer, about the time of Desert Storm, he asked me if I had ever read the book “The Haj” by Leon Uris. He told me his wife had it in her collection and he brought it for me to read. He felt I needed to understand the thinking of the Islamist. I guess he looked at me as being naïve, and perhaps in some areas I am – the ones in which I choose to be. I read the book and was amazed at what I read. If you have not read it, do yourself a favor and get it either from the library, or buy it. Amazon.com sells it at a reasonable cost and they also have the Kindle version.
